Women Fight for Change

Women during the industrial revolution were treated very poorly when it came to living and working conditions. They were paid one-third as much as men for the same hours of work. Women were tired of being treated lower than any other gender, so many women first started off by forming unions in the trades. Some women then had the opportunity to work  in factories that didn't pertain to doing hands on work. The movement for women's rights began around 1848. Women around the globe decided to join the International Council for Women so that they could win their rights.

I feel as though it was very important for these women to step up like they did during this revolution. They wanted their rights because they thought that they were just as equal as any another gender. I would be tired of getting denied by my gender too. They had a right and a will to strive and get what they wanted and if you try long and hard enough things should work out in your favor. What these women did during this time was very crucial in times of need.
